She has a way getting people's attention. So far this week no one has been more visible than 16-year-old Tatiana Golovin.
She's lent a hand at the main draw, made crepes for the masses, and done what she does best -- play tennis.
No one has made a bigger move in the rankings this year than Golovin. Since January she's gone from 345th in the world to 30th.
"I'm just not really realizing it because this has been going on so fast and so I'm really wanting to get some time off and start practicing and really realizing what I've done."
Only 16, the French star is limited to ten events a year plus the four grand slams. Tennis has become her life since enrolling at the famous Bolleteri Tennis Academy 8 years ago.
"I think it was such a smart move for my parents to bring me to Florida to the Bolleteri's... There's such a great atmosphere. I don't regret it at all going to the States."
In no way does Golovin feel cheated out of a childhood, but being a teenage tennis star does have its down falls.
"Probably spend time at home with my animals and my family, that's probably one of the things. You have to travel so much, you know, and being in hotels isn't always fun. But that's part of the job. "
Super stardom may also be part of the job soon. There seems to be little doubt she will eventually win her first tournament.
The real question is, what's the story with the shorts?
"First of all, you have to be real comfortable on the court. You don't want to be wearing something you're not comfortable in. I'm 16 years old. If I'm not going to be wearing the shorts now I'm never going to be able to wear them.
"If you can add something a little special why not?"
Golovin lost her Pilot Pen match in straight sets to defending champ Jennifer Capriati.
